Aliwan means entertainment or amusement, and thus Aliwan Festival
delivers just that. Dubbed as the "Mother of All Fiestas", Aliwan
Festival started in 2003 and gathers annually the different cultural festivals
all over the Philippines. Each participant from the different regions in the
country showcases the richness of their heritage and culture. This is also an
opportunity for them to promote their respective regions for the Philippines
and the whole world to see.
