The Island Paradise: Boracay

Willy's Rock with Groto

Much has been said about this beautiful white sand beach just off the waters of Aklan. Many dubbed this piece of island as the Island Paradise. And once you have set foot and experience its breathtaking views, you may say you have been enchanted and would never want to leave such beauty. This is true to most local and foreign alike that have taken permanent residence in this island called BORACAY.

I myself could not get enough of the things Boracay has to offer. I keep coming back to its blue-green waters and take a dip. One could either go to the popular White Beach where a lot of restaurants offering different cuisines can be found, to Tambisaan Beach where not many tourists flock so it's more private and secluded, or to Puka Beach where one could truly feel paradise.

At morning you can do various water sports like banana boat ride, helmet diving, kite boarding, glassbottom ride, and island hopping. Or you could travel by land and go to Mt. Luho, the highest peak in Boracay,  the Everland Aviary, or to the Bat Cave. And as nightfall approaches you may want to go back to White Beach and experience the Boracay Sunset.

After so much fun and now you're tired, you only have to stroll along White Beach and choose from a number  of restaurants offering either Greek, Italian, Indian, or Mongolian dishes. And if you are tired of specialty ones, you can try the fast food variety of JAMMER'S which offers burgers and shakes, or DECO'S BATCHOY if you are looking for something hot to fill the belly.

Afterwards, if you're on for a few more rounds of dessert and coffee you could head to REAL COFFEE AND TEA CAFE which offers the famous calamansi muffins. Or you could grab a cup at Starbuck's.

At night you could watch the famous fire dance in Station 1, usually on a Friday night, and be amazed and have a good laugh. Some of the restaurants do their own private fire dance for the benefit of their costumers. And who else haven't heard of Boracay's nightlife? One could go to Club Paraw,  Cocomangas, or Summerplace to have a shot (or many shots) and let loose and have a good dance.

If you're looking for a place to stay, go to Boracay Garden or Boracay Regency located at station 2. It has its own swimming pool where you could relax if you don't feel the salty beach. Or Roy's Rendezvous, but you have to book online as they don't accept walk-ins.

For souvenirs you could go to 'D Mall or 'D Talipapa, or just stroll along White Beach at night.

No doubt I could never get tired of this little island called Boracay. It's truly a holiday get-away one should never miss!

  1. Another thing that I would like to look for in Boracay is the Boracay Residences Philippines. Because I want to live there. I am loving the Philippines!
