Along the street fronting Central Philippine University are a mix of establishments that's only common near universities. And amidst all these is Sir Jerry Thomas Premium Burger.
One can easily miss Sir Jerry Thomas's foreign-looking tiny logo because it shares the place with Kurt's Stuff and Frank's Burger. So as not to miss it, it is located in front of CPU's third gate (near CPU Kabalaka Reproductive Center).
Looking around the counter is modernly designed with hot colors, but the tables does not conform with it. Probably because they're sharing space, thus for budget purposes. And although it's a far cry from a cozy place, one can still enjoy the dining experience.

So I ordered for take-out their bestseller, the Premium Burger. It has strips of bacon, and so much yummy and creamy stuff. And best of all their patty is flavorful (although not as packed as I want it to be), and the buns are so soft and yummy. I also wanted to try the Angus Beef Burger, but it was out of stock. Maybe next time :) (Surfing for pictures on Sir Jerry Thomas, I can see that some take-outs were being wrapped in their custom packages. But mine were just wrapped in parchment paper, I think. Also out of stock?)

What's best about this joint is that for as low as Php 50 you could already savor their beefy goodness in the form of their Regular Burger. Good news for the students! And all burgers are big compared to your Jollibee's or McDo's that it can be shared, but if you're really hungry one burger may not be enough!

I also ordered their Potato Wedges, which I think is becoming a trend in burger joints. But it did not have the wow factor like the burger, even the sauce (which you have to mix before dipping).

So for a budget and student-friendly place but still with a touch of gourmet, check out Sir Jerry Thomas Premium Burgers now and get the best deal for your money. Take it from me, which I experienced on first try. Oh and they also do deliveries.
HOW TO GET THERE
On commuting, ride a jeepney with the sign board Jaro Cpu/Jaro Cpu Ungka and tell the driver to drop you off in front of CPU third gate. You will notice the sign of Kurt's Stuff, and eventually Sir Jerry Thomas's.
If in a private vehicle, just drive to CPU and locate the third gate.
