I tagged along to SHERIDAN BOUTIQUE RESORT with my friend who was scouting places for
her own wedding (click here for Cor's rave about the place). When we got there and asked for information and requested a
tour site, we were received warmly. The people at the reception desk were all
very accommodating, and we were toured around by the very friendly Julie.

If you want a luxurious getaway, a peaceful and serene afternoon
or early night, or a venue for that most romantic wedding-after party you ever dreamed of, then why not head out to Sheridan Boutique Resort. Located at Brgy. Buray, Oton, Iloilo this luxurious resort, once known as Wilfredo’s Event Place, is a part of the Sheridan group with branches at Palawan and Boracay.

The place offers the Azure infinity pool, where walk-in visitors could swim in the pool and also enjoy the mini jacuzzi; the Ayanna Garden Restaurant where you could dine and relax overlooking the lagoon.

Presently they have seven rooms to accommodate visitors who wish to experience more of the resort (which they are offering Php 4,888/night with free complimentary food and drinks, until October 2013). The rooms are good for two, have hot/cold shower, cable TV, and as of now free wi-fi is only available at Ayanna Restaurant. As of the moment, available rooms are 7 Casitas, 2 Deluxe rooms, and a Presidential suite.

They also have a pavilion for various functions, especially
for weddings. At the lake, one could do boating and kayaking (only if the water
level is high though, and there’s not much space to go around).

The resort is somehow Balinese-inspired, with statues of ducks
and smiling monks everywhere you go. We think you could appreciate more of the
resort if you go there by night time, as the lights and sunset make it more enchanting. And no entrance fees are required.
Sheridan Boutique Resort Iloilo could be reached by private
transport. The landmark to watch out for is the Total gasoline station at your
right side just before the Batiano bridge leading to Oton town proper. You
could also see the resort’s signage a few meters away from the gasoline
station. Here the road forks and you take the right side which is going
straight. 150 meters from this fork, also on your right, is the resort.
You could also commute going to the resort. Ride any Oton-bound jeepney from Iloilo City (in front of Molo Iloilo Supermarket) and just tell the driver to drop you off at Total before the Batiano bridge. Here you could already walk going to the resort, or if you are lucky enough you could get a ride on a Trike.
