The Hand-Tossed Pizza Experience

It was a cloudy-sunny kind of afternoon.. after scouring the corner streets for something fun, we decided to check out this recent addition to the ever-growing business of pizza parlors: the PIZZARO, located in front of a St. Therese MTC Hospital and one of the oldest university in the city (that is, University of San Agustin). The place is situated along one of the busy streets of the city, along the Jalandoni St., so to reach this destination you could ride whatever you wish (but private cars will have problem finding parking space) and you could never get lost.

the place boasts, on its sign, the famous hand-tossed pizza, and we were curious.. hmmmm.. how often could i eat this kind of pizza? probably rarely.. so we enter the place and minutes after we realized it was brownout  (darn! no electricity for how long we don't know). but luckily few minutes later the power is on and we're ready to rumble!

Upon entering, we were greeted by polite, helpful, and accommodating staff. The place was quaint, with colorful murals on both sides of the wall illuminated by orange lights..the place is somehow private and neither too formal. all walks of life may wander inside without worry of tripping the tables and chairs and embarassing theirselves :). if you want fine dining, this place is not for you...

the menu consists of the usual selection: veggies, seafood, and italian mixes. servings come in slices of 6,8,20, and 30..you could also order burger with 1 or 2 patties, and it's larger than the usual burger but not too big for our mouths to bite in..salads and desserts are also present..settling ourselves, we chose Kevin's Favorito, which has 3 kinds of sausages in it, the potato salad, and frozen margarita at 4pm!

Kevin's Favorito

and we  didn't have to wait that long for our Kevin's Favorito to arrive..and for me i like the crust..it was tasty and the whole pizza did not have the usual Italian flavor, and instantly i liked it! i had fun eating the sausages, which were also tasty..and it was freshly hot from the oven that we had fun picking up our pizzas with the mozarella cheese stretching, inviting and tempting us to dive in! although i'm not a fun of potato salad, i can say that i liked the way they have prepared it..it was sweet and still you could taste the potatoes..

and while we down ourselves with our frozen margarita, we almost forgot about the hand-tossing of the pizza..initially we thought they do it inside a kitchen, but their kitchen was beside the cashier and visible to all the eaters, and we can hear the chop-chop of the knives..hmmmm..but a movement in the corner of my eye captured my attention and lo! i saw just in time a pizza that was tossed going down.. heck! i waited for another chance but none came..well, that was opportunity missed..and i haven't got it on my cam..darn...

although the place needs improvement of their wash area and comfort room, and i could still smell the place sticking on my hair and my clothes when i got home, all in all, it was a good HAND-TOSSED PIZZA EXPERIENCE..come, see, and enjoy for yourself this ultimate experience.
